front air dam-correct color?

Former owner had white wax residue on the air dam so I used Laq. thinner on it. Rag turned charcoal/ black like it was painted. Were they originally black or charcoal?

They were just black plastic and they fade with time...Some people shoot black paint on them to make them black again you probably just wiped off the paint.

Get some semi gloss black, or whatever your preferance is, clean up real good with your laq. thinner and shoot em again...I wouldn't use gloss though I think they look like crap that way.

I've looked at a few more pics and most seem to be a charcoal metalic looking color- most noticable against black cars.
