Am having trouble sealing the banjo bolt , leaking between the crush washer and brake caliber.
Installed new copper crush washers and tightened to 20 lbs and still very slight weeping .

Am afraid of over torquing the hollow banjo bolt and snapping.
Can anyone tell me what the factory torque recommendation for the banjo bolt is?
I've read anywhere from 14lbs to 36lbs.

I've got some Earls' 3/8" Stat-O-Seals coming next week to try as a last resort.

Go to speedwaymotors.com
Click toolbox upper right corner
Go to brakes click see all
Stroll down to common causes for leaky banjo fittings
They also suggest Stat o seal
Hope this helps

According to '92 f-body FSM it is 32 ft/lb. Note that this is the same caliper that is used on the Buicks.

If the crush washers are copper heat them red hot and dunk in water. They will be as soft as butter on a warm Summer day.
