Which side of this front seal is supposed to be facing the block? The timing cover I have is an aftermarket Silverseal HV cover. The seal is installed from the outside. If I put the seal in the way I think it supposed to go the tensioner spring will be on the outside facing the balancer. I don't want to end up with a leak because I drove the seal in from the wrong direction though. The seal part number is B231-710613.

Thanks,

The side of the seal with the numbers faces outward. The side with the spring faces toward the crank.

Thanks,

It just looked like with the way the ribs on the side are angled that it might mess them up driving it in that way.
