Bought this front cover from a supporting vender. Dumb question which way does this seal go in? The only way I can install it is with the spring on the outside. I don't believe this is correct. I can trim the side of the seal and make it fit with the spring on the inside. Thanks

The seal you have is for a stock front cover.the cover you have appears to be the aftermarket front cover .the seal for the stock front cover installs from the inside therfore the seal itself is reverse.you have the wrong seal.

Nick,

GO GET A FRONT SEAL FROM AN AUTO PARTS STORE, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM, LOOKS LIKE THAT'S A HIGH VOLUME FRONT COVER. JUST LIKE MINE. I TOSSED THE ONE THAT CAME IN THE BOX, AND PICK ONE UP FROM MY LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE. U DON'T WANT TO INSTALL IT FROM THE INSIDE OUT. WHAT IF IT FALLS IN THE CHAIN:eek:
