That's what I keep mine in. I've read some people prefer a metal jug but no issues here.

I actually like a 1 gallon one.. light weight and easy to maneuver

The more gallons.. the heavier it is.

Where did you find a 1 gallon? I had one years ago for my JRs but the kids left it behind the golf cart and I don't have to tell you how that ended;) I have never been able to find another

home depot, lowes, ace, etc
Red gasoline ones work great . Just never use one that's had gas in it
 
i reuse old washer fluid bottles and 1 gallon ice tea jugs
always have a gallon in the spare tire well in the trunk

for the garage i have the 5gal alcohol jugs like the jegs jug and a simple 3/4 clear fill hose using some home depot plastic plumbing parts that screw into the hole in the cap they supply with the jug

for funnels i use old water bottles ripped in half, no chance of getting any petroleum contamination from a dirty funnel
