Fuel Pressure will change day to day WTF!

Set fuel pressure one day to 42# next day it might be #40 and the next maybe #36. changed Regulator & guage still not it.
Any Ideas???

Dirt/blockage in the return line.

Bad pump.

Fuel filter?

kinda along my line of thinking, so this week I was going to use a new 307 pump and change fuel filter and checkout wiring for voltage numbers!

Oh yeah, that's a good one.

Always back up funky fuel pressure readings with at least one or two other gauges.
