I dropped the Tank and removed the pump. Then I plugged a hotwire and a ground wire to the adapter that came with the 340 just too see if the problem was the pump, It worked then I tested the hanger with the old pump I had taken out, worked fine then I put the 340 back in the tank and tried the hotwire and the ground wire test again this time NO luck it was DEAD, any ideas? thanks in advance for the assistance I will receive..........Randy

Did you ohm the wires on the hanger? May be a loose/broken wire/connection on the hanger or wire to the pump?

"Dammit Jim", I got an idea!........

This plan is fool proof!!!

Run a wire from under the dash directly to the fuel pump.

Connect the wire to the switch for your fan.

When you turn on your manual fan, your fuel pump will be on too! :D ;)

Did you check all your fuses including the hotwire one?? Also, check all the grounds and who installed the hotwire kit??? Maybe they ran it along the car in a place prone to having it broken by tires or other moving parts like control arms and such. Good luck Randy!! Do you have a multimeter?? Perhaps your factory fuel pump relay went bad.............Lots of possibilities but, remember K.I.S.S.

Only if you shave first... :p ;) <---- straight wink :D

Randy,

From what Geoff was telling me, it definitely sounds like a bad/broken connection. Happy hunting

No

I don't have a ohm meter
I don't have a volt meter
Not sure who installed it, maybe keith, not sure. its not run through the frame rail as it should be its just ziptied hear and there Dam it Jim worked on it last night for about 7 hours, I'm done I will drive the 86 for awhile till I figure out the wiring issue's
and NO to smooching heheheheh LOL

Wiring Harness

Anyone know where I can get a replacement harness for fuel pump, I don't want to just RIG it. I don't want to drop the damn tank again in 3 weeks or so. Thanks for everyone's assistance with this POS just kidding its not a POS its a bad ass buick, just hurt right now............

All Fixed

Dam it Jim, well let me tell you all my woaws spelled wrong but oh well.....It turned out to be the 2 wires I think ones tan and ones purple that hooks to the top of the Hanger, After numerous hours of trying to figure the damn thing out....I unplugged that two wire connector and cleaned the contacts and its good to go now.....What a MOFO that was to figure out but it did'nt cost me a dime to fix......and I learned a few things as well, then Jackson hooked me up with a new mote for the Alarm and its all better now.....thanks for the assistance from all.....Gotta work Thurs and Friday night so Saturday I should be back at the Track again.....

Alas, Its fixed!! Pro Gas night on Saturday I believe..................

You gonna buy a run card than???? That'll be one of the first times I ever see a Buick enter the Pro Gas event, cool and good luck!! BTW, being a Pro Gas member only allows you to use the Pro Gas lanes on regular nights. To race on a Pro Gas night you have to buy a run card for every event night (i think its $50-$60 per night).
Derek:cool:

Don't know if anything has changed for 2005, but last year it was a $60 run card, $15 Pro Gas fee, and $2 wrist band for the driver minimum. This is in addition to the gate (another $15 I think it was). There definitely was a difference on the prepped track though.

We'll be there Saturday night - look for Derek's black-and-billet GSXR 1100 in Super Pro

Forgot about all those additional fees but, Im sure you get the idea. So yeah, look for me on my bike in Super Pro!!;) Wish me luck...............LOL

Dont need no stinkin brakes!!

Brakes?? You dont need no BRAKES!!! Just put the car in neutral and drop it into drive with the engine revved up to 6000 RPM when the light goes green. Later you can call Pearl Harbor or Waipahu transmission to get a quote on a rebuild ;). BTW, AAA membership is good to have too!!:p
And yes it would be nice to see me racing my bike again :( :(.
