Why cant you put the fuel pump regulator back by the gas tank? I had it mounted on the fire wall behind the intake because its a Buick motor it doesn't have a distributor in the back;) Ive heard that to run on a NHRA track you have to have the fuel regulator on the fender well. So what about putting it in the back what do you think?

It's perfectly fine back there. You'll just have to run your boost line all the way back there so it will have it's pressure reference.

It should be fine. I have never saw a regulator for a carb in the back but I've seen plenty of injected cars with the regulator in the back.
