Right now I'm getting like 5.7v this can't be right the car runs until it gets warmed up then it stumbles a lil. How much voltage should be at the connector for the pump???

Sounds like you may be reading the voltage to the fuel gage.

Voltage dropped to 11.9 it sputtered and shut off :banghead::banghead::banghead:
I'm gonna take a beer break for now, but I gotta get to the bottom of this why does it run crappy warm? So far it's been hell part after part but it's ok I'm getting closer

Any SES codes? MAF? You have a scantool?

No scan tools check engine light not on, the only thing i haven't changed is the EGR I'm gonna start there and then see if I can fine tune/set the timing to see if it helps

Everything replaced up top Maf icm and coil pack temp sensor fpr I have the accufab I think it's running lean/rich due to the timing where I'm over fueling the cylinders a lil I'm new to these cars I may be way off but with what I smell and hear while running it's gotta be timing related

Easy to upgrade to 86/87 ecm and worth it ,,,,,, tt chip, maf translator, ls1 maf, 86/87 ecm

I have the ecm I need a TT chip for it, when I have the chip made do they need to know if I'm using a different maf with the translator also I heard the calpack from my 85 should work true/false?

Hey guys, I'm sure NorCal would like to know this too. What vendor would be the best to buy a scanmaster from?

Yup!! He's right full throttle or turbotweak? The used ones on the site are usually over priced... Might as well get a new one with receipt

Dumb question but where do you check fp voltage with the car running? I have a hotwire kit and can check it at the fuse but not at the pump .

If it runs fine when cold but runs crappy when it warms up, a couple things you can check.
One oxygen sensor, unplug it and see if it still acts the same. If it doesn't, then the sensor is bad.
It may light the SES light when unplugged.
The ox sensor has to warm up to make a signal. When it is cold, the computer guesses at the fuel mixture until it gets a signal form the ox sensor. If the sensor is bad, it may be giving a false signal.
The second thing is the engine temperature sensor. They are cheap, about $11 but you have to drain some coolant to install.
It tells the computer how cold the engine is. If it tells the computer the engine is cold when it is actually warm, the computer will send too much fuel to the engine.
There are other things that can cause your problem.
You should pull all the plugs after you have run it until it runs crappy. Let it cool and pull the plugs and see if they are dark
or nearly white so you get an idea of if it's running lean or rich.

Temp sensor new, should I change the sender also the car does smell rich/lean I have a fairly new denso o2 I will test it like you said when I get home thanks a lot this is info is very helpful
