Hey guys,
I have a problem with my fuel pump a couple of months ago I was driving my GN and the car just shut off like I turn it off got it home and noticed that the fuel pump wasn't running when I turn the key on so I bought another pump well I got it installed and the car still won't start I checked all the fuse's and they were fine I disconnected the fuel pump and hooked up my volt meter on it and there is no power going back there can anyone give me an idea on whats wrong with this thing oh and by the way I have a caspers after market engine harness in my car It's just not getting power to the pump.

Don't know what that harness is all about but with your mods even a new harness you should have a hot-wire directly from the alternator post. Try applying power directly to the pump via the hot wire I'm assuming your car has.

Did you check the fuel pump relay on passenger fender? My car did the same thing a few months ago, wouldn't start, but luckily it was in my driveway. It turned out the "hot wire 30 amp relay" went bad, I replaced the relay with a new one and all is good now. I bought the relay from Caspers electronics.

the caspers harness has it own two wire's running to the fuel pump you just take out the wire that runs your fuel gauge and put it in the new connector that go's back to the pump as for the hot wire kit I have one but I don't see how that would stop the pump from getting power threw the engine harness also I swapped out my relay and it did nothing still at ground zero

I just noticed my caspers harness doesn't have the wire to jump the fuel pump the one you add power to to drain your tank

Just go with your hot-wire wiring and jump the relay.

That should power the pump and at least get the car started and running - if it doesn't, then you know there are other problems

is the ecm getting power? look for the "Check engine" light with the key on.
if you blow an ecm fuse, the fuel pump won't get activated.

Well the relays bad I think I jumped the green black wire to the gray wire and when I turn the key on the pump started running.

Well It's not the relay It's one of the fusable links down by the starter that for some reason blew.

Pinched/burnt live wire? Needless to say, it will do it again unless you fix it once and for all. The FP wire tap by the alternator got grounded while making a test run and it blew a fuse on the fuse block in my car. Not happening again if I can help it. Speaking of that fuel pump wire in the harness. Why is it there? Troubleshooting? Sorry for my thread jacking:)

I've heard that it's was used to trouble shoot, but some guys use it to set fuel pressure.

could the FP be wired directly to the alternator from there skipping the need for that "Hot Wire" set up?? Just asking.
