Right now I have a high performance fuel pump from poston( dont know what type) I am now going to 55 lbs injector with the combination listed in my sig. What fuel pump or pumps do you all recommed?

You might want to verify what type of pump they are selling. A while ago some vendors were selling nothing more than a stock pump with a shimmed relief spring.

I reccomend at minimum a Red's XP+ or a Walbro 340 pump and if you are pushing enough power to use all the fuel that 55# injectors can support you might even start thinking about a double pumper setup.

Is there a way of buying a fuel pump like let say reds xp or the walbro 340 and then when required buying the additional fuel pump from the same vendor and making it into a dual pump setup?

It can be done, but like anything else it is easier to do it once and do it right. Some vendors (ATR is one) don't like to sell the parts required that can complete this upgrade alone(you can buy the coupler only) and there are mods required to the hanger for both pumps to mount. Red might do this for you but I'm sure that he would rather just do it up front the first time.

Can a single walbro 340 or reds xp in that case, supply enough fuel for a high ten, low 11 second car?

Common wisdom is that one pump can support low 11s - high 10s, and that 55s are the jump off point between one and two pumps.

Of course there are those who'll tell you they went 7.50s with a single, factory pump and blue tops (when blessed by a holy man)...

:D

LOL i wish a holy man would bless my car ;) Can anyone give me a link to red armstrongs site or quad air so that i can get one fuel pump at a time?
