I've been trying to track down a pretty loud tapping sound that gets louder as the engine warms up. I've been trying to figure out if it's injectors or lifters. I can 'feel' the tapping in the fuel rails (sheetmetal intake/fabricated rails) and not the valve covers or intake. I also have -10 AN lines for supply and return and I did some more checking yesterday. I can 'feel' the tapping all the way back to the fuel filter and the lines from the filter to the tank as well. Not in the return line though. I have ATR's staged double pumper pumps. Anyone have any ideas? The fact I can feel it in the lines back by the tank has me thinking either something to do with fuel flow or something wierd with the injectors. I have a Paxton fuel filter (for FI engines from Summit) and 83# injectors.
