funny shifting...

[its turbo time]

my transmission will shift and perform fine when my car isn't quite warmed up, but it seems that if i drive her for extended periods of time it will start to shift funny.

like when i am accelerating slowly it wants to shift way too soon.
and when i put it too the floor it will kickdown a gear but then it never wants to shift up.

she's got about 180,000 miles on her and i don't believe she has ever been rebuilt.

whats the ball park $ for a decent rebuild?

May be your TCC solenoid. Do a search for TCC solenoid and you will find some very interesting posts on the issue. A T.V. cable that is out of adjustment can cause stacked shifting as well. Start there first.
