I picked this up for a song. It's on a bug pan but it will be getting a tube chassis. Will most likely be V8 and a 6 speed Audi trans in mid engine set up.
My youngest has already claimed it lol.

Why not a mid engine GN swap with a Porsche transaxle?:D I have the flywheel and adapter plate for the LC2 to the porsche trans that I could sell you...CHEAP!
What ever you power it with, it looks like a great project.

looks cool...if you go Turbo buick, ive got an rivera trans>>>>>>

Yes that is a Formula WS6 rim! PM sent on th adapter. I had thought about a LC2 on a 3254L transaxle but it puts the engine a little far back over the axle. Looking at he Audi 4.2 V8 as it will bolt straight to the Audi transaxle without the $900 worth of custom adapter/flywheel/clutch.

Sweet I have one of those let me know if you need any info when fiberfab closed down they auctioned off there stuff i bought a lot of things like adds blue prints that kind of stuff. you a member of the club on yahoo groups yet? The back window is going to be a bare to find it’s a 68 mustang fast back glass.
Here is my 1 piece body it now has a tub frame Porsche 944 turbo brembo brakes and aluminum control arms. Soon to have a new turbo set up on the VW power plant. If I had the 2 piece body I would have used a SHO engine they look cool with all the tubes on the intake it would look great seen threw the window.
There is one in OH I think that has a hot air T-Buick engine in it.
and if you plan on a V* get ready to cut it in half the 94 in wheel base is to short even with the Audi trans you will need to strech it at leas 6in I was going to do it but in the end desied it only waighs in at 800lbs so why a v8 I even though about a buck 215 v8 but it was not short enough ether. the V8 verstion of that car had a 101in wheel base so plenty of room for the v8 power plant.
the rivera trans will work great it lets the engine sit over the rear axles and gets the engine twards the rear but the engine is not centered on the car it sets 2 or 3 in to one side cant remeber wich side do a search on earl harper and you will see what I mean. Also you may want to contact erin Marten he has been building frames for these cars since the begining and has done every thing from big blocks and ZF trans axles to complete ferro drive trains in them.

I have to go pick up the glass but I have the frt & rear. With the Audi transaxle and sbc the "firewall" will be slightly inside the cabin but there is still plenty of room I believe. Still lots of planning lol. But I will pick your brain!

The front glass a corvair or gia will both work its that rear glass thats the tuff one to find so be carefull with it. I thought the same thing Im 5/8 and when I tried it ther was no way I put a bulk head in to see were it would be and there was just no way it would work. the Valkries had the wheel wells set back in the body to strech the wheel base to 101 so that it would all fit. maybe with an electric water pump and placing the alternator on bottom passenger side you could do it. but it would still put you up in the dash some.
Here is the link to the T-Buick powered on you can see he had to keep the engine in the rear like the VW to get it to work mid engine it sat in the car to much.
