Anyone know what these things are called, or better yet have a part number.

They are the things that are on the top of the door, that seem to crack when they have been out in the sun. I think theyre main purpose is to keep the rain out of the door. Anyways, i need a set, mine are cracked and look like crap.

Thanks
Kevin

But I would check to confirm part numbers, I got this off my reciept that I pruchased awhile back. I sholud be still available.

I just got some of these from Jay's GN parts. They were $100 for both sides (GM).

If you want to get technical, it is a "belt" molding. Also called window felts, window "scrapers", etc. :)

HTH..

Thanks guys.
Now whats the best way to remove and install them :), i was looking and dont see any room for a screwdriver or anything.

Kevin

You will need to remove your interior door pieces. From there, roll your windows all the way down. Then using a 90 degree screwdriver, remove the screws. I had my glass removed when I did mine because it was being painted. Hopefully, you shouldn't have to drop your glass to get to the screws. Probably won't have to. Hope this helps.

Kevin, here's a good trick. With the door panel off, at the bottom of the door frame, there's a rubber stop so the window doesn't go down too far. Take that out and lower the window until it bottoms on the metal. Then you'll have easy access to the "cat whisker" screws. That's old school slang for the belt moldings FYI.

Thanks John!!!!

I just orderded these, i checked a few places

50 bucks each--local dealer
70 bucks shipped from gmparts direct
and about 75 bucks shipped from P&G chevy.

Not too bad
