Installation Instructions : First remove the two 10mm nuts from either the driver or passenger side which are located above the headlights and behind the header. Install the proper bracket for the appropriate side.

Yes they are. Just installed them over the weekend. Super simple job!

What exactly am I looking at here?

Under the header area above the headlights on each side is where these brackets are installed. In the event you lean over that area it will not flex so it does not break/crack.
I'll try to get some pics of this installed in my car.

Just installed my set. Easiest job I've ever performed on this car. Nice preventative upgrade. Wish I had thought of it.
