I am putting an 87 turbo in my 46 Plymouth. I am using the factory wiring harness, etc. I would like to keep my original 6v-positive ground gages. Is this possible? What will I need to do to adapt them to 12v ?

Thanks for the Autometer tip.
I heard there are resistors(?) that can be used to keep 6v items in a 12v system, not sure if they would work with the Positive ground vs Negative ground.
I will be replacing all the old wiring with new as I rebuild the car around the drivetrain.

I know there was/is also a way to setup a 6V/12V charging system. I believe it uses and alternator that can output both. My father and I looked into this a bit for our 49' Chrysler New Yorker but decided to just stay 6V for the time. Sorry I can't provide any more information but check out some antique/hot rod sites and I'm sure you'll find something.
