I didnt think it would have been as hard as it was to pull one off but now I have a real appreciation as to what it takes.

pulled in around $2800 for 3 days, was suprised that not all my fishing stuff (extra) didnt go and none of my camping gear which really blew my mind...i figured all the camping stuff woulda flew off the shelf.
Almost all my music stuff..IE mixers, mic's and boxes of patch cables went quick, all the household went quick

Anyway I got one week left here in Mich and IM gone

Coming through Kansas on the way to Florida:cool:

Yes garage sales are Tough. You earn pennies on the dollar.

In your case it sounds like you did good. But maybe you could have doubled that figure selling it on ebay. (if you had the time)

When we moved from NC to MO I mentioned selling our extra unneeded stuff in a garage sale to the wife. At first she liked, it, then as the time got closer decided against it, mentioning it's a lot of work for little, if any money.

I kept most of my high dollar crap out knowing i wouldnt make squat like some of my 500 dollar fishing blanks...people dont understand pacbay seats, but they sure recognize an ugly stik...lol

I stored my art as well knowing folks around here dont know a Wyeth print from finger painting.

Anyway most paid asking price, some tried to beat us down but we were negotiable on most stuff.

took a hit on my Huska chain saw though..ouch
