Hi
My T has been sitting for about 2 years. Want to get it running again. Can I just pump out tank and refill w fresh gas or should I drop tank and clean. If remove tank, how do I remove fuel lines on top? Before I drop or as I drop? Can't remember. Also what about pump? It's Reds put in about 6 years ago. Thanks MDTType87

Usually I just pump out the old gas and drive it easy with the new stuff until all critical items like fuel pressure, oil pressure and coolant temps are verified to be fine.

You can unscrew the schrader valve on the fuel rail, clamp or zip tie a 6' piece of 3/8 fuel liner over it, jumper 12 volts to the grey fuel pump test lead by the alternator and pump tank contents to a suitable container. If it looks ok, install a new fuel filter and some fresh gas. You can pump a little more of the fresh gas out if you would like. Remove the fuel line, replace schrader valve and give it a go. You can check fuel pressure if you are worried about the pump. Like Nick said verify oil pressure, check for leaks, etc... If all is well it is probably a good idea to go through the spring cleaning list. Now if the old gas is nasty or the fuel filter is full of crud you might want to drop the tank and take a look. Above the rear axle there is a shield you remove that gives you access to remove the rubber fuel lines where they attach to the hard steel lines.
