where can i buy a new stock "doughnut" gasket that goes between the downpipe and elbow????????

does anyone know where i can find pics of a stock elbow next to a ported elbow? i have been searching and cant find anything.

i picked up the gasket from carquest. $12.

i still have not found any pics of a ported elbow though........

Here's a link to a photo album of mine with stock housing pictures along with a TurboMike ported housing set of pics.

Just took them today for you. Not the greatest pics. but you should be able to get the idea of what needs to be done.

You can photoshop them side by side if you want or do a slide show even. ;)

Note the larger puck on the TurboMike ported housing.

thanks for the pics. am i stupid or is there really no difference from the two housings? it just seems to be smoother and the puck is bigger.

Actually there is a big difference especially in the inlet side and also around the puck area.

Lots of smoothing and material removed from the inside of the housing also.

Just some kinda bad pics. of the stockers interior or you could see the differences better. ;)

If you don't need the larger puck I'm sure you could do a reasonably good job with a dremel tool at home. :)

i had to pop my downpipe off the other day cuz of someone welding the cat straight to it. car had to be jacked up about 3 1/2 feet to get that darn thing out. i took off the turbo elbow and thought about porting it but it seemed like i wouldnt really gain much. is there a noticeable difference with a ported elbow and stock DP?

i will look at your pics again. thanks

Beats me, mine is new LOL.

Went with a THDP and a Mease on my two cars instead.

Ported stocker is for when I get old and want to drive a more stock car in my golden years. :D

I would hope for some advantage in the mid to low 12's horsepower area. :)
