Looking for help with a problem with a 1999 Suburban fuel gauge problem.
I just got the truck 90K miles.
I noticed the fuel gauge will slam full sweep on key on.This is a loud noise,which I do not think should be happening.
My GM friend has just replaced the fuel pump assy.It was whining at times.
We had all hoped that this gauge slaming would be helped once the pump assy. was changed.
It appears that the fuel gauge is feed directly from the ecm.
His GM tech support has never heard of this and do not have a clue on what to do.
I used to know a web site of a message board that guys would offer help on problems,but I have since lost it??
