Are these parts really discontinued?

coil pack (25533542), and an ignition module (25526449) come up as not available, on gm partsdirect.

I also got this response from them:

"I am sorry the part numbers you requested have been discontinued and are no longer available from GM.

Here are the numbers we show for your GN

12353801 coil for 3.8 turbo 86-87
24503624 ignition module for 3.8 turbo 86-87"

Are there any other part numbers that supercede these?

Thanks.

Pete

Not sure of the GM numbers, but the Delco numbers are D552 (coil) and D1996 (Module) And i am sure that they are NOT discontinued. The Coil pack is wwaaayyyy common on the majority of the front drive GM's and the module is close to.

Support one of the Buick venders dude, it'll pay off better in the long run for all of us....:)

Both numbers 12353801/24503624 from GMPartsDirect are correct...as for the coil pack you can't beat Kirbans price....check out his Website...

ONLY $224??

Hey......that's cheap. I thought they cost $260. I'll have to change that in my ad in "parts for sale" where I sell ignition module/coilpak combinations for $60. Thanks for the heads up!

GM Parts direct :o(

I just tried the local dlr.. Had some other stuff on order and was going to add a coil pak and module for shop stock... NOT!! Was quoted "your price" is; list $240. 178 net
and 120 for the coil and 78 net..Gaskets were 4$
went to the local parts store, they crossed over to DELCO..
Module $140, Coil 55..
Took GMPD a week to respond and told me the numbers I gave them were wrong and said to check them myself on line.. Screw em..
