Remember- All GN are really TTYPES. The Grand National is simply a body option in 84/85. The key is the RPO code on the trunk lid WE2. Other clues will be the stearing cap should be the Buick Shield. The plate above the glove box should say Grand National. The real answer other than the RPO code is the header panel. TTYPES had an emblem on the header panel-GN option did not. Making a GN clone means filling the emblem hole on the header panel. Inspect the header panel from the underside of the header panel for the hole being filled in. Most TTYPES had chrome bumpers. Making a GN clone requires a repaint job on the bumpers. This repaint job does not last along time look for paint peeling on the bumpers or paint overspray underneath the car by the bumpers. Check the blackout trim around the front headlights-these should not be painted. If the car is an 84-It should have the Lear Siglear inteior and seats-Nothing like the 85-87 GN. This should get you started. Let us know you make out. Take care- Brad
