What do you think will be more desirable in the years to come: A GN survivor, meaning factory origonal paint in good condition?
or a quality repaint?

Asked Dennis Kirban this question earlier this year and he suggested to keep in origional, what do you think...

I have a 50,000 mile '87 GN and the paint looks ok with a recent wax but could use a paint job. Should I paint it or keep it a survivor?

My paint looked like the bonneville salt flats, had to repaint it, but it looks great. If you got the cash repaint it, but find someone who will do a GOOD job. Or mod it till the paint gets worse then paint it. :D

It's only original once. That matters to some collectors and others it may not. If it were me, I'd keep the original paint and do everything possible to preserve it. It could be something to brag about on down the line. But that's me.

Especially if the car is being kept stock, the original paint is a must for maximum value. If you are not concerned about resale, or if you are moidfying the car to the point that being original doesn't matter much anyway, paint it. The second a car is painted, buyers might worry about covered up accidents.
