Did (has?) anyone else seen the car the guy (Charlie) drives in the show?

It's only shown in bits (and never the whole car) but it's an 86 or 87 with White Racing Stripes from front to back...

Just glimpses, keep an eye out...

We gave up on that one by the first episode. They dubbed in the drab sound of a V8.

Yeah, this was covered in another thread. The V8 sound and the 'handmade throttle body' are  but it is still cool as sh!t to see our car in a prime-time show.

From Kirban's inner circle, 10/16/07:
In the last Inner Circle email, I mentioned the new TV
series on NBC entitled "LIFE". I had the name of the TV
show correct, but the wrong nite. It is on Wednesday
nite 10pm eastern time, 9 pm central time. I only saw
the first episode, which the main character drove a
gorgeous Bentley coupe. Since that time he has
switched apparently to a highly modified Grand
National. Several Inner Circle members have forwarded
photos of it to me. The car appears to have no front
air dams. The wheels look like 1984-1985 Grand
National rims. In other words, the painted T style
rims.

We just had a link sent to us, featuring this Grand National:
YouTube - dspfklh@#$@ $#sdfhndk

It has a very wide silver strip down the center. On
the plus side, the paint job really looks show quality.
You can see in one shot, the Grand National emblem
on the trunk lid and the turbo logos in the seats.
Looking through the black grille, it appears to have
a monster intercooler sitting behind the grille.

Our company would gladly donate a set of our GNX style
Rims, to compliment the outside appearance, if someone
contacts us that has an inside connection to the show. I
plan to watch it from here on out. I am not sure if
in a previous episode if they stated why he went from
a late model Bentley black coupe to a now 20 year old
Grand National.

My guess is someone connected with the show likes the
car, or figured it would be a good move. Whatever
the case, it has worked.

double entendre!

Waahhhh, I'm Whinning a little Bit! :)

1st, I'd like to say it's really great to see a GN in a modern day Show!

However, the Sound!!! WTF!!!!! Why would they do such a thing...?

Couldn't they have put the sound of a really good Turbo spooling up???? Prowlin the Streets?? Sneakin up on bad guys with the cop lights and all??

Also, the White Stripe paintjob really throws me off. A GN with a White Thingy down the middle of it??? hmmmm.... Clearly it's a GN with the GN Badge in the back.

I guess it's just Hollywood. However bad it is, it's really nice to see a TURBOBUICK in a NEW show in 2007.
