I just got to wondering how many guys out there are driving actual show quality cars? Or if your just driving around in a normal day to day looking car(normal not being a rusted out POS) but something that can use a little tlc. For me i have an 86 GN that is in ok shape but no show car. It could use paint job paints ok just faded, rear bumper fillers, some rust repair bottom driver side door, and can use some t-top seals and a recovered driver seat. But the most important thing is im driving the car iv always wanted. One day i will get the car blasted and painted up.

When mine finally comes out of the shop, I personally think it will be show quality for the most part. At least the exterior and the interior will be. I still have to work up the underside and engine compartment, but those will get done later this year.

I am not turning it into a garage queen, though. It will not be a daily driver by any means. But it will see pavement as often as I can on days when the weather is nice.

I have a few that are show quality and one that is in the stages of being built. I can't stand it when the paint isn't right. For the most part, mine are garage queens as I have a hectic schedule but I do take them out when it's nice out. No rain, no snow, no nasty weather.

Either way, these are always a blast to drive-painted or otherwise!;)

Rusted out POS WE4.

Oops rusted out fast POS WE4.

GN is like yours above though, good enough driver, nice clean interior could use some exterior paint and simple body work, no rot.

Paint has absolutely nothing to do with driveability however. :p

I am one of the rare people that would prefer a Buick built motor and don't mind some rust and rot or a few dents.

Not knowing what was done to a used "rebuilt" motor that isn't running well, is far more annoying to me than what salty roads the previous owner went on. ;)

This says it all.

I'll be the first to admit my car is NOWHERE near show quality. It has shiny paint that could use redoing, the interior is ok but could use some help. It runs really good but the suspension feels sloppy as hell to me.

But it's not a p.o.s. And it does run/drive.

My car falls under what you could call a "nice driver".

But then again if mine were show quality I'd probably be too afraid to ever bring it out unless it could be escorted incognito in a climate controlled enclosed trailer.

all i can say is, that a gn or t-type that is show quality does'nt happen over night, mine took about 2-years so far and counting, i sometimes feel this will never end:rolleyes:

Mine is driver quality and it still draws more attention and comments than my '70GS when I put both in a show side by side.

Well good to hear im not the only one running around with a driver condition car:)

TTA is a nice driver! Paint is good, interior is ok to good.......... kinda like it that way. Don't have to worry about finding new chips and scratches on my new $4k paint job.
