I own a 69 chevelle and am trying to do some research in buildinga twin-turbo 283ci motor for my car. I ran across and have heard that one GN Turbo may be able to support my goals.

Will the stock turbo kick in by at least 2500rpm and not give out until 5500rpm???

Will the stock turbo support 500hp?

What rpms does a stock GN setup kick in and give out at?

Here are my specs if needed thanks for any help i really appreciate it. I figured if any one could answer these questions best it would be you guys since ya run with them everyday.

283ci
Megasuirt ECU w/ Tuned Port Injection w/ im thinking 36# injectors
Fully ported 5.7L TPI Heads
Forged pistons with 8:1 compression
Eagle I Beam Rods(Rated 500 hp)
Forged crank
2 bolt block
Speed Pro Hellfire Rings
8-12 pounds of boost(need help with that also)
Chevy HEI from TPI and MSD Boost Timer Box
Comp Xtreme Turbo Cam
Intercooler
All ARP Bolts

I am thinking about building a turbocharged buick 350 with fuelinjection using the megasquirt system.

If you ever to this project would you mind sending me some pictures and some feedback with using the megasquirt system?

Do you have any experience with the megasquirt system?

In all honesty, a stock GN T3 will probably be too small for your application. It simply can't flow enough air to support 500hp. It'll spool fast on 283 cubes, but it'll fall flat on its face earlier than you'd like.

You need to get Corky Bell's Maximum Boost (Amazon has it) and read the whole thing. Once you read that, you'll know everything you need to know to properly size a turbo for your application.

Wait a second, are you asking if a single GN turbo will support 500hp, or will 2 support 500HP. I would think that 2 would be great. There are a few guys doing it with 302 ci over on turbomustangs.com. Check it out, They have tons of great info, and they are normally fairly friendly even to chevy guys.

Get ahold of Lou Czarnota on the boards- he goes by turbolou. He's already been where you want to go, and he'd be the best one to advise you.
