i purchased a 3" dp with a external gate.the gate doesnt hold pressure.
i dont want to buy a whole nother gate.so just the diaphram.
please pm me price shipped to 94564

i had one of those (the gate), it's probably still laying around here somewhere....

anyway it was a little leaky when I got it, the diaphragm was ok, it just needed some attention internally to tighten the hardware where the valve stem attached to the diaphragm

so, you may be able to fix yours.

ill look @ it right now thanks

also, the side port will leak some, since the air will go out around the valve stem. the top port should hold pressure.

a little leakage wont hurt things too much, as long as the hoses feeding the wastegate are not too restrictive. you want to make sure the valve moves freely.

i took it apart ,it looks like the lip that goes in the groove isnt perfect.it seals real good on the top.
i put some pressure on it with the compressor, and it does open and spring shut.
my thinking is the vacuum during idle, wouldnt it be a kind of a leak?
