GNX exaust solution.

If anyone makes a decent proper replacement exhaust system for a GNX i couldn't find one. So I was forced to come up with this solution for a customer. What I came up with was a PYPES cat back for a TR & modified it to work. Finding the right mufflers was the first problem since the PYPES mufflers were too large & researched a pair of flow masters that were close. Once the main piece was installed a couple of U bends were trimmed and grafted unto each side to attach to the inlets of the mufflers. As for the tailpipes they had to be cut in the middle & sections added to clear the rear suspension. Then tips of the modified tailpipes had to be trimmed to proper length for appearance. All this took a lot of time & cursing but in the end was pleased with the results & worth the effort.

pete hoffman or richard clark has a 2 1/2" stainless system for the x suspension
i used magnaflow mufflers because at that time pete didnt have any of the atr style mufflers in stock

Thanks for the info, Yes ATR had a nice system I knew that Mr. Clark had one but thought they were no longer available and probably should of asked you guys first. In the end it came out alright & was pleased with he results.

Looks good. I'm working on a similar project for my car but I am worried about the right side muffler touching the lower control arm mount on the frame. Did you use the 14" x 5" body mufflers? what part # were the mufflers?
