Anyone know where I can locate these? I believe Kirban's had them in the past but don't anymore.

superbriteleds.com

I've done pretty much my whole interior w/ 'em
used red LEDs for my AVC gauge cluster, just 'cause :)
They have a 10% off promo code thru June 16:" DAD2013"

If you don't mind me asking....what bulbs (part numbers) did you use ? Would really appreciate your help in determining this.
I'm only asking, because I got rid of my AVC dash, but kept the VDO gauges & wiring harness and installed them in a GNX Reproduction Dash.

I'd like to replace the original incandescent bulbs in the VDO gauges ......

thanks,

dave

X2.. I just cleaned and painted my vdo's and the gauge panel poked around for new bulbs but couldn't find those style bulbs anywhere any help would be awsome...thanks Mike

are you looking for the led turn indicators and high beam indicator , those are the only leds on the AVC dash

the vdo used the micro push in bulbs ive found those and have boxes of the mini (was same bulb used in the80s-93 s10 heater control lighting) but dont recall the numbers

the speedo used a twist in bulb , was same bulb used on the 70s trans am console indicator , hvac control, and the rally pack gauge

I have a poston dash with vdo gauges (electronic speedo) and would be interested in bulb numbers also.

I was looking for the LED replacement bulbs for the bayonet styled bulbs used in the VDO gauges. Hoping to get a bit more "whiter" & brighter light to illuminate them as the standard bulbs in my "cockpit" gauges leave alot to be desired.

I'm out-of-town right now but will get info Mon;
they have a conversion chart on the site. I did have to get a few
different styles to make it work,
the boost gauge needed a brighter 9 led bulb due to its construction
I also replaced dome, map & interior lights (kind went crazy )

You ain't kidding. I was considering changing out to different gages because of this!

Any info on the bulb numbers you ordered yet Spaceman Spiff?
Need the Tach, Speedo, Boost, tank level, Oil press, and water temp.

I dont want to pull apart my dash and A Piller pod twice!

Thanks!

Great avatar! Calvin and Hobbes was fantastic, BTW.

When you guys figure out which bulbs you need, get ahold of me. I own a lighting supply company and should be able to beat any price you find on good LED bulbs.

Sory!
Still looking for the paperwork; I actually might have to remove my gauged to replace one
So either way I'll try to post the #'s this week!?!

Sorry for the delay, y'all!!!:(
As I recall there were a couple of different types needed due to gauge design:
my order was:
BA9s LED Bulb - 4 LED Red 90 Degree 12V (1ea.)

194 LED Bulb - 4 LED Wedge Base Red Wide (6 ea.) (used 1 in the gear indicator in console)

9-LED BA15S bulb Red 100 Degree (1ea.)

Either Tach or speedo (?)

the Boost gauge & another in my dash are metal bodied & that light is set further back in the body
so I used
BA9s-RHP9 (2ea.)

194 LED Bulb - 1 LED Wedge Base Cool White 120 Degree (8 ea.)

replaced map lights, glove box etc.
Cool White is very white not yellow or blue but very "cold" almost like fluorescent lights
I bought a few more that I didn't end up using (a lot of trial & error) Anyway, I spent way too much, probably, but...
HTH!

Again, sorry for the delay!
I really don't remember the placements, but I do know for sure:
9LED I needed for the BOOST gauge
the BA9s 4LED for FUEL gauge
You have to look at each gauge to determine the base type; bayonet or wedge
They have several "temps" of White
I used the "Cool White" as noted & it is a very pure white
I also put in map light/dome light, trunk & foot-wells,
I got a lighted rear-view mirror from auto salvage& the 194s fit
now I can actually see in the interior at night
need to figure out how to swap the stereo lights from green to red next...
Its always somethin'!

Do you have electric or mechanical oil pressure and water temp Gage's? Are they VDO? Do you recall which bulbs you used in them?
