Does intercooling an 84/85 tr give it the same HP or torque as a stock 86/87? What are the advantages of intercooling verses just running a stock hot air engine and is it worth the extra cost?

There are PLENTY people on this board who will "talk you into" intercooling your car. The basic operational difference is a cooler intake air charge. Lots of other things that can be done.
