I just installed the Extender Extreme with the 72 lb injectors and the 3.5 MAF. car runs really well. this chip has the "open loop" option which will allow the car to run without the 02.

do any of you guys have experience with running this chip this way??

does running open loop have alot of disadvantages on the street.

I'm kinda tired of killing 02 sensors with race gas and thought this would be a great way to run the 116 octane.

please share any thoughts. tia for comments.

anyone have any experience with the new extender extreme yet??? tia for any comments.

I, and a bunch of other guys, run The MaxEffort chip. It is open loop and have nothing but good things to say about it. Just don't try to go through emissions testing with it.

I've been running Open loop for months now.
Last weekend made a 1,000 mile trip, no problemo.
This is with my own chip, but done right there are no downsides.

Bob Bailey who works with Modern Musclecar developed the Extender Extreme chip (works with the Trans +)

I don't have much experience with it yet but initial impressions are good. car idles great, spools quick, and runs very smooth. car ran really well with the MSD 50s but I got a good deal on the 72 (thanks Dusty!!!) so I decided to step up and give them a try.

I was worried that the 72s would be too big for the street but I think they will work just fine. the extender extreme had the anti theft, open loop, and ability to measure MAF flows above 512 and is designed for the 3.5 LS1 MAF which provides good flow.

I believe they are pretty new as Bob was just putting the finishing touches on the code.

bob is really sharp to be sure and was a super guy to work with.

I highly recommend the chip. the car has never run better and now I have no fear of leaning out with the GN1 heads and TE45, the MSD 50s might have been a bit small at high boost for my combination. the 72s provide some added top end fuel capacity and yet still provide good driveability.
