Going to Talledega Race in May

I'm going to the Geico 500 in May. Can members provide lodging info, restaurant recommendations and sights to see. First time in Alabama. Thinking of staying Birmingham. Was going to visit Montgomery and Tuskegee. Plan on seeing the Hyundai tour. Will also spend some time with friend in Atlanta, GA.

Go to the Barber Motorsports motorcycle museum, just a few miles west of the track off of I20 at the Bass Pro exit. Also the motorsports museum is on speedway blvd at the track entrance. We stay at a campground off site in pell city on lake logan martin. If you are near there, look up Finchers catfish house.
