As of Sept. 7th, we're exempt from the sniffer.
Only '96-later are going to be tested via the OBD port under the dash but, supposedly, '95-older won't have to pass!
And it'll be done by your local repair shop, not the huge out-of-state company we have right now.
I'm not sure of the specifics.
Meaning do they check for the "necessary emissions equipment for your car's year" or something to that effect? i.e. catalytic converter.
They MIGHT but we'll have to wait and see.
Just being able to skirt the sniffer is a beautiful thing.
