Just what the title says, I'm looking for a good machine shop in the tampa bay area to check out my cylinder heads for cracks, flatness, and maybe put some new seals in and do a little valve polishing job (the heads are already off the car). I don't have a lot of money to spend, and I don't need any custom porting work, or crazy modifications, so I don't need some expensive speed shop, just a decent fair-priced good quality machine shop (I'm sure they still exist out there SOMEWHERE).

Any suggestions?

Thanks a bunch!!!

United in Tampa is fine. Or ship the heads to Champion.

Call Teddy Nelson at United Speedworld.

They just did all the machine work for my 109.I had a buddy assemble it for me and all the clearances were spot on.Teddy also balanced my assembly. He's very reasonable price wise too.:)

Thanks for the advice guys! I ended up sending the heads over to Clearwater Cylinder Head for reconditioning... Was going to support Steve, but my girlfriends friend works over at CCH and will be hooking me up with a deal I can't beat (money is tight). Even their regular guy off the street price is prety fair for a basic head job: $100 per head to hot tank, magnaflux, pressure test, install new seals, 3-angle valve job, check springs and valves, and deck resurface.

It's nice to know we have a turbobuick head specialist in the area... down the road when I have a little more time and money to throw at the car I know where I'll be taking my heads to get worked on :)
