I've been stalled on my build for a bit, but I set out this morning to confirm the date code of my 169 Walbro pump. Turns out I have suspect one, but the real eye opener was two other things. One, the sender return line looks like it was just pressed in to the top of the sender, and when I lowered the tank it pulled right out. This is a brand new OEM TBI sender for an El Camino (hard to find and really expensive) that's never seen gasoline yet. Could have burned the car to the ground. When I got to looking at the line itself, it has a restriction inserted busted sender 005.jpgbusted sender 002.jpgthat's tiny. I never would have known it was there as it's not visible with the line in place. So, good news I guess on that part. I just thought I'd share that here.
