I almost hate to post this because it will piss someone off but my 2004R would not live more then 25 passes. I had every billet part into that trans. and it cost me tons of money. I had it rebuilt by a few local performance trans. shops and it still would not hold up. I finally decided to go to a 400 and through that transaction I met Lonnie Diers. He convinced me to send him the 2004R. That trans. that he built and guaranteed for a year held up to many mid nine second passes over a 1.5 year period and to my knowledge is still working for Albert. I finally decided to install the 400 so I could use a trans. brake. The negative on Lonnie is that he located on the east coast but I think he has 200 4R's that you can buy without a core exchange.

they will have to take you there?

thats pretty funny! do you have to be blind folded on the way to the shop?

he may be good.........

but I prefer vendors who don't play games, who have NO secrets, or special hand shake, who are open to new customers, and nothing to hide.
in this day and age of bad economy, anyone who thinks they have the market cornered, will be closed shortly!

Interesting points to ponder, Lee, I prefer it the same way, and I am doubtful that I would ever do any business any other way, or with anybody that felt business should be done any other way.

Lee, this guy has been in business almost 30 yrs I doubt he will be closing his shop anytime soon, he is so good he choses who he works for and thats no BS, I once saw a $550,000.00 Ferrari dyno at his shop being worked on because the owner trusted no one but him with the car, he personally knows or knew buddy ingersol the guy that was beating on the Big V8's with his turbo V6 back in the 80's and worked closely with him as part of his crew.. ;), I asked him to be part of the vendor's in here and he prefers to stay anonymous and not be part of the whole internet soap opera at least thats what he called it, there are a few articles written about him in various magazines, people come to him from all over the place, i have seen transmission come all the way from europe to his shop to get fixed, and his work speaks for itself, i should take you for a ride in my GN so you can see what a good trannie should shift like...

I have never said he wasn't good!

he may be excellent,
but I have a flawless working trans from Donnie Wang. who anyone can approach, or have him work on their car, no secrets, no special pass words, no "I'm a friend of so&so"
Donnie has nothing to hide, and has a large list of clients, I'm sure he always has time for most anyone, I don't speak for Donnie, but I'd say most everyone is welcome at his shop, and his quality & knowledge is as good as ANYONES!
I'd give you a ride in my car, but you'd have to bring a few friends to push! LOL

So Harold does this transmission guy have an application that the a potential customer has to fill out; like applying for a job. If the application is accepted do you then have to sign some sort of Non Disclosure form.

Nope, the "third party" or "go between" takes care of that.
