Sunday morn wife tells me the lady down the street wants to junk her. What kind is it, I dunno wife says. Go lokk. Comes back, its a Cavalier. I go down there, car been sitting on 2 flats for a year and wont start. Jumper pack, vrooooom. 2 cans Fix o Flat. Drive it to gas station, air in rear tires, car dies way home, put in new batt, no prob. Lady apologizes for giving me POS car, its reaaly rusty in the rocker panles and has been rear ended hard, back hals cut off and another rear welded on into the roof. But painted to match. Anyway, 1993 4 dr teal Cavalier, 110K 4cyl, I have a batt, 2 cans Gunk engine degreaser, 2 cans fix o flat, 4 spark plugs and an air filter in it. Going to get plates tomorrow. Hell, it even had a full tank of gas.
Sounds like a deal to me! I did the same thing a couple years ago with a 91 Volvo 740. Pulled it out of a guys yard, repaired a tranny line, and drove the car for a year. Then had a guy trade me a huge MAC toolbox for it. Never say no to a free car.
Yeah free cars are great. I just towed home a dodge spirit that cost me a case of beer. Most of the free cars that get passed around these parts end up getting jumped off hills or into a pond. I wish I knew how to put vhs videos on the internet you guys could get some good laughs.
