Got a new powermaster motor but...

i feel a pilsation in the pedal and the motor feels like it gets too hot.

would my pressure switch be bad?

Should went Vac.. Once you go VAC you willl never go Back.

I have seen pressure switches at KIRBANS website

and on Ebay someone has them under ID = GMPOWERMASTERS.

I would find someone and ask to borrow thier switch to make sure that is the problem so you dont waste $$

if it will not build pressure it is most likely the accum ball

The pulsation I was having with my PM was solved with a different pressure switch. I was feeling quick pulses at the end of holding the brake and the elec motor near the end of full pressurization.

Its really simple to borrow a known good switch and accumulator then try one at a time. Easier to troubleshoot and really quick. I prefer to diagnose but these two parts are so quick and easy to change and usually the culprit of most PM problems. Unfortunately they have a history of being "maintenance" parts that seem to need replacing numerous times, hence why many prefer to switch out the entire system.

I personally am sticking with the PM for now myself.

I was tired of getting NO BRAKES with my PM

Now I can drive in confidence

The Vac setup should cost $125 to 200 - lot cheaper than PM
