Got my Kirban fiberglass bumper today-WTF!

I won an auction on E-Bay for a front fiberglass bumper from another source so I ordered Kirban's rear. Well today I open the package and take the shipping crap off and damn if it isn't a front Well I thought maybe they entered the invoice wrong. Checked the invoice and it said 1532-Buick rear bumper I am actually pretty glad it was a mistake because it had some bad looking spots at the edges, scratches on the surface and in no way was ready to bolt on. According to claims you can just put it on as is or paint it. Judging from this one it needs work to do either one. Hope my other front looks better than this one. How can Kirban's screw up a bumper order I think a three year old can tell the difference in the two! Now I have to pack it back up, burn my gas to drive up to UPS, pay to ship it back, wait until they deem it ok on their end and maybe get my rear one in another week Car people and they don't know the difference between a front and rear bumper so now I have to do all the leg work to make it right

If you call Kirbans, they should put out a UPS call tag so they come back to your house and pick it up.

You can request a pick up and a call tag will be issued. If the vendor issues a call tag they pay the return freight. UPS will come to your location and pick up the bumper. Bummer!

FWIW the one I got from the auction looks to have more reinforcement in the light region with that extra panel there. I tried to work a package deal with him but they don't make rear bumpers yet

Could be...I waited out the guy with the new cruise control switches long enough to get one for $30 apposed to his original $89+shipping price...BTW, it looks GM new [it isn't] and my friggen Cruise actually works for the first time since I bought the car! I'll keep watching this dude with the bumpers and see what happens. I'll get one some day...but for my price, not his Good score just the same, it sure looks like a quality piece in the pics!

I think it will be a real nice piece. If you read his ad and just like he e-mailed me back: 100% guranteed or he will refund the money. His feedback is 100% positive on stuff he sold before so that speaks volumes when it comes to E-Bay! If I could have found real nice used ones I would have went that way but oh well!
