How to you figure a pump rated in gallons per hr is in litres per hr?

A gallon is pretty close to 3.8 liters. So our engines are one gallon engines. (Actual conversion factor is 3.785, but 3.8 is close enough for government jobs)

Actually wouldn't you multiply by four:

as in, 6 gal times 4 liters= 24 liters
