Well I was looking at the Junkyard today for tires that would fit on my 1991 ford escort. It's a car that I don't care about, so if I can find a good tire at the Junkyard for $15 I'm gonna buy it. Well I kinda got sidetracked (like I always do), and I was in the GM section looking for G body cars when I stumbled on THIS masterpiece!
This is some late 70s, early 80s buick riviera. The engine and trans were gone so I think that this car at one time had a good small block chevy in it or something, but Ooohhhhh with that cowl hood it was the perfect ghetto hotrod. I saw the cowl hood and just said to myself,
--- "...I MUST have this" so I promptly took the hood off the car, convinced 2 other people I had met in the Junkyard to help me carry it. I paid only $30 dollars for this wonderful fiberglass hoodscoop. I then strapped it to the roof of my escort with seat belts I had cut out of other cars, and drove home extremely slowly. I found that I had gone to the Junkyard to get tires that I NEEDED, and left with a cowl hood that goes with a kind of buick I don't even have... today was a good day.
