Can any body having good results with a Greddy Prefec spec II post their set numbers!

I am trying to get a setting for around 25-28Psi of boost but can't seem to get the gains and stuff set right. Either got spiking or falling off at higher RPM's. Can't find a good all around setting!

TIA

Here's mine...

Set boost- 80%...which is 25 psi for me with the stock wastegate actuator.
Gain- 17%
Set Gain- 210

Anyway that's what seems to work real good for me with no spike or creep. It takes some trial and error but once it's set it works very nicely and spool up is great.

Also found this awhile back, it helps explain the crappy Greddy manual a little better.

dang, i'll be tunning one shortly, this stuff looks complicated:eek: that thread on the import board is pretty good the way the guy does the math, now that makes sense.

Thanks guys, I will check that out!

My set gain is wayyyyy below that. That might be alot of my problem! Thanks!

Let us know how it goes. I'm interested in this and want to see how good they work. What does the install require?

Jason

The install is easy. That seemed to help alot. I am alot closer now! I am just not happy with this thing though. I think I am gonna sale it, and have another one brand new in the box too:rolleyes: , and go with the AMS or take an innovative I have off of another car and put on this one. I think this is a good piece I just can't get it dailed in. I wish it was in psi #'s so it would be easier to use!

I just bought one too. I haven't installed it yet....workin' too dang much !!!! It does have a function to convert the readout from metric to standard or are you refering to the link?

One psi=6.89 kPa

20 psi = 137.8

25 psi = 172.25

30psi = 206.7

Could you shed some more light on the install? Is it electrical or mechanical? How do you tie it into the system?

Jason

"If" I remember correctly;) You just run your power and ground and a turn on lead. I mounted my selinoid on the driver side inner fender. Then you have to run a boost guage type line into your vac system then just run your hose to the wastegate and turbo. It is a pretty simple install. There is no tapping into the factory harness or anything!

Did you or Jay get a chance to play with the boost controller on the MAF PRO yet? I finally got mine dialed in before the snow... it's pretty nice.

No that is the car I melted the trans in at Reynolds!

Yeah but it is still not the actual psi, I dont think?
