In your first post you said BE, I assumed you meant B&E Customs...Eric Altaffer I believe. :)
That's where I got mine.

And I love it. ;)

Does the Greddy have two separte boost settings? If so, how do you switch between the two? Switch?

A few settings in % increase or decrease.

I see the ones on e-bay have Chinese writing all over them:mad:

So much for getting anything made int he US anymore :(

There is a button right on the display. They also make a remote mounted switch.

It's Jap. Import Ricer stuff.

Not quite sure why you would expect an American made product?

It's a Japanese company, started by Trust Co. large Japanese parts supplier.

I wonder about the overboost future... Imagine this... I drive on 24 psi and suddenly the wastegate control hose goes bad and get a leak and overboost...

Will the Greedy stop this, so my engine lives on ?

Daniel

Ummmm no.

All controllers and systems have failure modes.

Wastegates locking closed, hoses leaking.

Sometimes the more complex doesn't always work the best if you can flow enough with a simpler system.

Many race cars really need other boost control methods and controllers.

Most don't. ;)

One would think if the Greedy solenoid could flow more than a stocker and the hose leak wasn't as bad the overboost feature could help limit the amount of overboost. Also would depend on which hose was leaking as well.

The overboost feature is for when you want to run more boost for a short period of time.

If the wastegate hose comes off, no boost controller is going to help you.

I could match the price, but in all honesty, I would come out about even after fees and what not.

I do not like to "whore" out parts like some other vendors do.

The regular price on the Greddy Profec-B is $357.00. I can get them to you all day long at that price. The guys on ebay are getting units at killer deals then selling them at WAY too low proces. That kinda just kills the market. That is why I do not even bother advertising them. If anyone wanted to do a group buy, I could do a lot better than that.
