What is the difference between the two? Is it just different covers/housings with the same wheels? Master power has the 4576 listed but no one else does?

The master power GT Anything is not the same thing.

The GT45, GT47 and GT55 are Garrett Garage Pieces.
This basically means they are specifically designed for racing.
All of the other units have comercial applications.
The Garrett GT45 can have a 76,78 or 80 MM Wheel.
The GT47 can be done with a 80, 82, 85 and 88MM Version.
I think you can get a custim unit with a 76MM.
The GT55 comes with a 91MM Compressor
Precision is also making a 88MM Version.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

so if the 42 and 45 can both be 76 wheels is there just an cover change with the same wheels. With alot of guys having great luck with the 4276, I wondered what the 4576 would be like.

I am not sure that the wheel is the same.
The GT45 is a little different and they are all dual bb.
We are running GT42R and Precsison told us that the GT45 was an upgrade option.

I believe and dont quote me that the 45-76 has a larger exhaust wheel. The 42-45 anything turbos are getting quite complicated to figure out. PTE makes its own "hybrids" in these series and the place in GA also markets upgrade wheels for this turbo.

Louie, the GT45 is bigger on the exhaust side.
I am just not sure if it is the same 76MM Wheel as the GT42.
Can you ask Cal?
The other place that modifies the GT-42s is in Alabama.

I'll try John. The 45-76 has a .200 (or so) larger turbine wheel with an extra blade. It usually has a larger compressor cover with a 6" ported shroud inlet, but can be made with the smaller 5" ported shroud inlet. The 45-76 has to be a dual ball bearing turbo where the 42 is optional. The 45-76 is illegal for TSL, but gets a weight break in TSO.

Thanks Cal, sorry your kid was not feeling well.

We are the other place that modifies the Garrett GT series units. We also have the new S series units as well. The GT45 from MP we do modify as well.
