What are the differences between these two turbos and what are the stall requirements for each? Which should be more streetable for under 25 lbs boost.

The 45A likes to run at high boost. The 67 runs better at low boost but sorta loses steam before the 45A will. Thats what Chopper at Limit told me. I got the 45 but I like high boost.

The 45A is an excellent top end turbo...period. With only 22 degrees of timing it ran the time in my sig with 29-30 pnds of boost accidently  First pass out I might add.....My buddy Al was driving :D

Anyway, not to sure about the 67, maybe others can chime in as I'm intrested to know more about the 67 too.

When I decided to upgrade from a GT61, I was interested in both the TE45A & the GT61, so I posted it on here & learned alot about both turbos. Some of what I learned was that both turbo's pull hard up to 25 lbs of boost, but the 67 pretty much is maxed out at that point & the 45a keeps on making power up to 30 lbs of boost or more!! The 45a is also a big shaft turbo where as the gt67 is a small shaft turbo. The 45a is a little more expensive than the 67.
They're both great turbos, it just really depends on what you're goals are. If you're going to stay under 25 lbs of boost, then the 67 has to be strongly considered, but if you ever plan on going over 25lbs, then the 45a is the only way to go. I went w/ the 45a & a 9x11 3400 stall and drive mine everywhere....no downsides to street driving, except had to buy some M/T drag radials to keep from smoking the tires off of it!!!

ps:If you do a search on this subject, you'll find lots of great information!!

I am not trying to stir the pot but the PSI is not as important and the CFM/Volume that it flows. If a PT67 makes the same CFM at 24-25PSI than a 45 at 30plus PSI why would the 45 be better? This is hypotheticle, I am not saything that they do flow the same cfm.

I would recommend talking to the man that builds them both just as I did...John Craig(Limit Engineering)...928-453-7321 & tell him what you're wanting & he'll give you the facts, then you can decide yourself on what's best for you. Also talk to Red Armstrong(Quad Air) 440-235-3232 who will give you the best price on either Turbo.
