Thinking about gt67 swap from te62, any input is much appreciated. Tim

You certainly have enough converter. GT67 is a nice deep 10 sec turbo.

how much for the 62? hehe. The 67 is like $800somthing new for a non ball bearing I think right?

Actually I am contemplating a turbo trade and was wondering about spool and compatibility with my combo. It has a 63 Precision housing.

what size intercooler pipe are you running? and is the alky kit a single/dual, and are you running a progressive/non progressive alky kit? What injectors? Last but not least, are your GN1's ported n polished, what about the valve size.

But so far with out knowing the above, spool should be a issue with you at all.

I have a PT 67 with a combo similar to yours and it is an awesome street turbo!!! Go for it! Paul

I MENT TO SAY SHOULD NOT be an issue, my bad, its too late to edit it. thats why im reposting. Sorry!

I went From a TE61 to a gt67bb and absolutely love it. From spool up to top end it beats out the 61 in every way!! I've heard of people getting close to the 9.999 range. I'm goona try like hell to get there!!!

3 inch up pipe, single- non progressive alky, non ported heads and 42.5 {yes I know they are too small but I will upgrade before the track} I know I will need a dual nozzle alky too. Just a 21lb boost street car.

i too wonder, if a 66 or 67 would be like with 2.5" ic pipes and 3" ic pipes. I think the 3" would be recommended though, both turbos can flow 1000cfm, and im not sure is 2.5" would be enough. Doing more research on this myself.
