My brother has the gta rims and he uses 275/50/16's MT's and his car hooks well. And they also look good as well.

afik they dont make a tire that size

mickey makes an et street radial 255/50-16 ( equiv to a 26.1")
with front gta rims may rub frame on some cars and might need a thin spacer
and they make et street radial II's in
315/45-16 ( equiv to 27x12.5 at 27.2") forget it with an 8" gta

and a 295/50-16 ( equiv to a 28x11.5 at 27.7")
needs spacers with a gta rim and then you'll need to roll the fender lip unless you like the car jacked up with airbags
they fit with the 8" gta
bweavy has a widened gta with back spacing that will clear frame but will need lips rolled if you like the car low

when mickey first came out with the 255/50-16 i ran them on my 86 with GTAs front rims (had a 200-4r trans back then) 1.50 60s were common off the t-brake, and using OD would run them out over 127 in the 1/4 at mid 10's .

I'm sorry, they are indeed a 255/50/16

M&H Racemaster 275/55/16. Stock wheel lips no frame notch no rubbing anywhere, and it is a 28" tall tire.

295/50 (4 rears) 1 1/2 hub centric adapter on the rear

pacecarta measured it all up to make sure this would fit without a notch

Here are a couple of better pics. No spacer is needed. I have an 1/8" one in there anyway just to be sure when I run the pressure low. The frame is sandblasted and painted and I just want to be sure it doesnt rub. I did run them without the spacers and never had an issue.

Thanks for the compliment. I am finally finishing up all the small stuff on this 7 year project.

FYI the car has bell tech spindles on the front and drop springs in the rear. The Bell Techs will NOT fit with GTA fronts. I had the centers moved and re-welded on the fronts for a 4" BS on the front wheels. The rears are standard GTA fronts.
