Gta wheels

I just bought some gta wheels, which tires seems best for street use for these 16" wheels,I was thinking of 245/50/16 my car is a 86 gn is it better to leave on the 15" stock chrome wheel for better tire selection?, has anyone did this change that could give me feedback, i love the look of the gta fronts painted black, how about refinishing these wheels? Sand blast,? duct tape the outer edge? help !!

i've got 4 "front" GTA wheels on my car with 245/50/16 tires, and the fit is about perfect with minimal rubbing on the rear edge of the front inner wheelwell at full lock either way.
you could get away with 255/50's in the rear without any real issues, but would have bad rubbing problems in the front.
