GTech Pro

Looks good. I'll take it. US Post Office money order OK? E-mail me info for payment. Thanks.

FYI fellas, myself and the tuner for my LT1 used the RR model G-tech at Gateway raceway while tuning my camaro. the RR on the only pass i turned it on..on (forgot too the others) anyway, it read 12.022 @ 116.xxmph. and the timeslip showed 12.018 @ 115.76mph. thats how accurate it was!!. and the rest of the measurments on that pass(8th ET and mph, 330', 60' etc. etc.) were all within the same range...the new G-techs when setup right are an awesome tuning tool!!

only diff. between RR and SS is RR has some road course style measurements too it
its all downloadable info too overlay onto and compare a recorded datamaster (or whatever you use) file for comparison and tuning!

Simple,

Thanks for the FYI. How does it "know" when to record or is there a place that will answer those questions?

no prob Mike
you have too be at a complete stop (ex. 2nd staging light lit at the track) then you hold the button for a sec on the g-tech and it will say "ready for test" or something like that and then you go. reaction times will obviously suffer (mine was like 7secs LOL but i was driving a stick and trying too get a desired launch rpm too) but on a test and tune night, who cares.

EDIT; i'm not sure how it knows "when" too record, probably a gyro or something like that inside of it or maybe from the vehicle speed sensor (i really dont know for sure) i do know that it works tho lol
you can calibrate in tire rollout too so maybe that has something too do with it

the reason its good for tuning is it can be used as an accelerometer. at 10mph increments based over time and you can see where you are picking up or losing speed and lay that over a recorded rpm graph (datalog file of some kind) and make tuning adjustments accordingly
awesome straight line g-force graphing too which helps find wheel spin

google the model or g-tech and you can find all the info about it
the key is too get it calibrated correctly (like a Mustang dyno) or else the readings will all be skewed. its best too calibrate it at the track so you know from the timeslip that you have it done right (IMO)
